At Dubai Duty Free Irish Open Søren Kjeldsen had competition winner Leo Morgan as his Caddy during the Pro Am. Leo won a competition that Srixon Europe, Cleveland Golf Europe and Irish Magazine put together.
Today, Søren Kjeldsen was named “Athlete of the Year” in Northern Jutland, Denmark, where he was born, grew up and put together the foundation of his later pro golfing career.
PGA of Denmark names Søren Kjeldsen as the “PGA Pro of the Year 2016” pointing to both great results in 2016 and the golfer’s significant contribution to the sport in Denmark.

The professional golf player Søren Kjeldsen has teamed up with a new manager and secured his commercial support further in order to get even closer to his sponsors, partners and fans.
Søren Kjeldsen wrapped up his full membership of the American PGA Tour, when finishing T9 in The Open Championship at Royal Troon. In 2017 he joins the PGA Tour fulltime. “It has been a dream of mine to test myself in the States for a full season,” Søren Kjeldsen says.
Søren Kjeldsen will represent Denmark as one of four golfers, when the Olympics in Rio in August introduces golf into the Olympic programme. “Nothing makes me more proud than to represent my country. But to be an Olympian certainly makes this an extraordinaire experience,” Kjeldsen says.
